Production Superintendent — Magnolia, MS

Step into a leadership role with one of the most respected names in the lumber industry. As Production Superintendent, you’ll guide daily operations in the planer mill, kilns, and shipping departments — while building a safe, efficient, and motivated team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead 45 employees through 3 shift supervisors, setting expectations and supporting their growth
• Oversee hiring, scheduling, coaching, and performance reviews
• Drive safety programs and model safe practices across the operation
• Improve reliability, quality, and efficiency while reducing waste
• Partner with sales and operations to keep production aligned with customer needs
• Lead problem-solving, team meetings, and continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of production metrics

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing
• Proven ability to motivate and develop people in a non-union environment
• Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
• Commitment to safety as a top priority
• Computer literacy (MS Office and related tools)
• Willingness to respond to after-hours calls and occasional weekend/holiday work
• Lumber or wood products experience a plus
• Ability to meet physical requirements (heights, stairs, heat/cold, confined spaces)
