LOCATION: This on-site position is located in either the company’s Shelby Township or Westlake, MI facility with weekly travel between the two locations. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates.
ROLE: The Company is seeking an Operational Business Systems Analyst to collaborate with business stakeholders to understand, influence, document, and prioritize business needs, including test cases, exceptions, and acceptance criteria for enhancements and new features.
IDEAL PROFILE: The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with JD Edwards, strong relationship-building and listening skills, an ability to work independently, a deep understanding of strategic business directives, and a high attention to detail to ensure quality of delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Business: Work directly with stakeholders to understand business needs, prioritize requirements, and turn them into clear, actionable solutions. Document requirements, test cases, exceptions, and acceptance criteria, and create process maps when needed.
- Know the Business: Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing, distribution, inventory, production planning, supply chain, and other operational processes — and how JD Edwards can better support them.
- Drive Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, decision-making, system utilization, and efficiency. Help the business get more value from JD Edwards and measure results through meaningful KPIs.
- Design JDE Solutions: Use your JD Edwards expertise to evaluate options and work with the ERP development team to design practical solutions that address business needs and support company objectives.
- Support & Train Users: Provide hands-on support and training, help users get the most from JD Edwards, and drive adoption of new functionality, automation, and system enhancements.
- Lead JDE Projects: Take ownership of JD Edwards projects from requirements through implementation. Keep projects on track with respect to scope, budget, timelines, and quality, while keeping stakeholders informed along the way.
- Keep Improving: Stay focused on what can be done better — whether it's a business process, system capability, or way of working. Bring proven best practices into the organization and help turn them into measurable improvements.
- Maintain Documentation & Data Quality: Keep process and user documentation current while helping ensure JD Edwards data is accurate, consistent, standardized, and reliable.
- Stay Current with JDE: Keep up with JD Edwards releases, new functionality, and industry best practices. Identify new capabilities that can provide real value to the business.
- Support Security & Compliance: Help ensure JD Edwards processes and solutions meet applicable security, regulatory, and IS requirements, including change management, service requests, and outage tracking.
- Connect the Dots: Serve as the JDE subject matter expert for manufacturing and distribution and work across Global Information Systems, Operations, Application Engineering, Supply Chain, and other business teams to keep technology and business priorities aligned.
- Deliver Business Impact: Help build and enhance system capabilities that enable growth, improve customer satisfaction and loyalty, and make teams more efficient.
IDEAL BACKGROUND:
- JDE Experience: 3+ years as an ERP Business Systems Analyst or similar role supporting JD Edwards applications.
- JDE Expertise: Strong hands-on knowledge of JD Edwards, with particular strength in manufacturing and/or distribution modules. Experience with additional JDE modules is a plus.
- Technical Understanding: Experience with JDE configuration, customization, integrations, and development tools. You understand how JDE works with the broader technology environment.
- Problem Solver: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to take complex business requirements and turn them into practical, effective solutions.
- Project Experience: Proven ability to plan, manage, and deliver projects while keeping scope, timelines, and priorities on track.
- Strong Communicator: Comfortable working with a global team and communicating effectively with people across different functions, locations, and levels of the organization.
- Relationship Builder: Able to build credibility and strong working relationships with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Leadership, and external vendors.
