Sr. HR Manager (Build & Lead the HR Team!)

The hiring company is a large international electronic equipment manufacturer. Their footprint includes facilities in Mexico, the US, Europe and Asia. The facilities that they are currently building and ramping up are expected to be a premier manufacturing site with several thousand employees. The workforce is primarily Hispanic. The responsibilities are only in El Paso. There will be no need to be commuting across the border.
This role is responsible for aligning HR and administrative strategies with organizational goals, playing a key role in optimizing HR processes, shaping talent strategies, fostering a positive workplace culture, and driving business outcomes. The SR HR Manager oversees all aspects of human resources and administration, with expertise in Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment, Training & Development, Employee Relations & Compliance, Policies and Procedures, Leave & Attendance Management, Organizational Planning, Performance Management, Transfers, HR System & Workforce data.
A Day in the Life:
- Build and lead an effective HR team with clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability
- Coach and develop HR team members while fostering trust, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Lead by example with a growth mindset and influence others through actions and professional credibility
- Oversee recruitment, performance management, and align staffing with organizational needs to attract and retain top talent.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws in recruitment efforts.
- Lead the design and implementation of Workday Recruiting Module and the AI features that facilitates candidate engagement.
- Develop, review and update competitive salary structures and benefits, and implement performance-based bonuses.
- Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and other perks, ensuring they meet both organizational and employee needs.
- Monitor compliance with regulations and provide compensation analysis to inform leadership decisions.
Foster a positive work environment through necessary activities including but not limited to team-building and culture initiatives. - Lead engagement programs to enhance morale and productivity.
- Implement AI-driven tools to streamline HR processes, such as recruitment automation, workforce insights, and performance tracking.
Create and enforce HR policies aligned with legal requirements and company goals. - Monitor health and safety compliance.
- Administer performance appraisals and use technologies for workforce analytics.
Supervise payroll processing, attendance tracking, and leave management with accuracy. - Address employee grievances and manage communication across teams.
- Promote strong employee relations and a collaborative work environment.
Ideal Background:
- 6+ years of HR management experience in the U.S, including work in an environment with 750+ employees. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Proven expertise in recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits management, including salary planning and incentive design. Experience in cross-border or multinational HR management.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and compensation regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills for salary benchmarking and compensation analysis.
- Proficient in HR management systems (e.g., Paycom, PeopleSoft, Workday), Microsoft Office, and AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency.
- Skilled in resolving grievances, managing employee relations, and enhancing workplace culture.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with HQ and regional teams.
- Passion for learning and applying AI and new technologies in HR.
- English | Bilingual is a plus
- Currently reside in the USA and are local to the El Paso area (preferred) or willing to relocate with company assistance.
- Must be a US citizen, a permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in the United States of America without any form of sponsorship, now and in the future.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
