Our client is looking for a responsible welder. This is a Direct Placement position with our key manufacturing client. To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma or GED along with 3 years of experience supervisor welding.
 
 
  • Prepare materials for welding; cuts, grinds and cleans metal.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in manufacturing, safety, quality, throughput, delivery, and operating costs
  • Perform weekly safety inspections, 5s inspections
  • TIG primarily and some MIG weld thin~thick gauge aluminum, stainless steel.
  • Conduct safety investigations as needed • Perform 5S audits/safety training
  • Read weld blueprints, engineered drawings, and follow work order requirements.
  • Dimensionally inspects welds and other Characteristics of parts being welded using tools such as calipers, protractors, and gauges.
  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear all Personal Protective Equipment
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 50 lbs.
 

Requirements

  •  High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Supervisor  
  • 5 years of solid general computer skills required, proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel in particular, being proficient in math skills required
  • 2 year of basic welding and metallurgy required
  • Read, interpret, and process to work instructions
  • Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools
