An independent, nonprofit health system rooted in a philosophy of genuine human connection is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead both the operational and clinical functions of their inpatient pharmacy. This is a hands-on leadership role built for a pharmacist who thrives when balancing operational precision with clinical excellence. You will oversee daily inpatient pharmacy operations including medication distribution, sterile compounding, automated dispensing cabinets, controlled substances, and inventory management, while simultaneously supporting high-quality, evidence-based medication therapy across all inpatient service lines. You will also serve as the pharmacy lead for an advanced inpatient EHR platform, overseeing medication records, order routing, clinical decision support tools, and workflow optimization in collaboration with IT and clinical stakeholders.
What You Will Lead:
- Full inpatient pharmacy operations including compliance with USP standards, Joint Commission requirements, and all applicable state and federal regulations
- Medication safety initiatives including adverse drug event review, root cause analysis, and process improvement
- Formulary management and Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee support
- Direct supervision of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, including hiring, scheduling, training, competency validation, and performance management
- Staff education across operational workflows, clinical protocols, medication safety, and EHR functionality
- Collaboration with nursing, medical staff, quality, supply chain, IT, and hospital leadership on medication-related initiatives

Requirements: Active pharmacist license in the applicable state required. PharmD required. Hospital pharmacy experience required, with rural hospital experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership in both pharmacy operations and clinical services. EHR inpatient pharmacy platform experience strongly preferred. BLS and ACLS certification required. No visa sponsorship or security clearance required.
