SR. LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

EMPLOYMENT & EDUCATION LAW

Location: Atlanta, GA

Our client, a top regional law firm in the Southeast with a national presence, is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Employment & Benefits Practice Group in Atlanta. This is a unique opportunity to work on sophisticated litigation matters, with a focus on employment and education law, in a collaborative and dynamic legal environment.

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in Georgia.
  • 5–7 years of substantive experience in employment litigation or commercial litigation with employment counseling.
  • Experience handling cases related to constitutional claims, employment disputes, student matters, and contract suits.
  • Background in civil rights, disability rights, and compliance with state and federal education laws preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage depositions, court hearings, and client conferences independently.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in federal and state litigation, including educational institutions, K-12 school districts, colleges, universities, private schools, and charter schools.
  • Provide counsel on employment and education law compliance, including civil rights and disability matters.
  • Assist in all phases of litigation, from legal research and case development to motions practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Draft pleadings, briefs, and motions with strategic insight.
  • Handle depositions, court hearings, and client meetings with professionalism and confidence.
  • Stay up to date on legislative changes and evolving legal trends impacting education and employment law.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Expected base salary range of $190,000-$215,000, determined by experience and market factors.
  • Eligibility for multiple bonus opportunities.
