We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team at a leading industrial manufacturing company in New Albany, IN. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with powder coating or wet painting in an industrial setting. The Industrial Painter will be responsible for preparing and applying coatings to metal parts and products, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking.

• Apply powder coating or wet paint to various parts and materials using spray guns and other industrial painting equipment.

• Inspect finished products to ensure quality, uniformity, and proper application.

• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

• Maintain and clean painting equipment, ensuring optimal functioning and performance.

• Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely completion of painting projects in line with production schedules.

• Manage and organize materials and inventory for paint-related tasks.

• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in industrial painting are a plus.

• Proven experience with powder coating or wet painting in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, consistent finishes.

• Ability to lift and move heavy materials and products.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in an industrial setting.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a manufacturing environment.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working with hazardous materials and in various temperature conditions.
