Advertising Marketing & Promotions Associate Attorney - Senior

Our client, a leading international AmLaw 50 firm who was recognized as one of Fortune's "Best Places to Work," is seeking an Advertising Marketing & Promotions Sr. Associate Attorney with at least 7 years of experience to join their Seattle office

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active bar admission in Washington or other appropriate jurisdiction.
  • 7+ years of substantive experience in advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing transactions.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating ad agency, influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, and other marketing agreements.
  • Expertise in reviewing ad copy for false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property, and right of publicity issues.
  • Experience counseling on contests, sweepstakes compliance, price advertising, and loyalty/rewards programs.
  • Strong legal writing and communication skills.
  • Experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute work preferred, but not required.
  • Previous large or medium law firm experience preferred, but not required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise a range of clients, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, in industries such as retail, entertainment, gaming, software, internet, food and beverage, and advertising.
  • Assist clients in planning and executing compliant advertising, marketing, and promotional campaigns.
  • Provide counsel on complex and evolving state, federal, and international advertising laws.
  • Defend companies in disputes brought by consumers, competitors, and regulatory agencies.

 

Why Join?

This role offers a competitive compensation package, with a salary ranging from $295,000 to $420,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. A discretionary annual bonus may also be available. The firm provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision insurance, personal medical and parental leave, 401(k) plan, family care benefits, up to ten paid holidays, and additional perks.

While hybrid work is preferred, fully remote arrangements may be considered for some locations, subject to approval. Relocation to the Pacific Northwest is preferred, but not required. Visits to the Seattle office will be required.
