Location: Hybrid role based in either Hartford or Stamford, Connecticut, with attorneys expected in the office 3–4 days per week to support collaboration, training, and team connection.
Note: Candidates must have at least 3 years of employment and/or labor law experience and be admitted to the Connecticut bar. Law firm experience, strong writing and analytical skills, and knowledge of Connecticut procedural rules are important for success in this role.

Job Description
- Advise clients on employment and labor law issues, including counseling, compliance, and workplace best practices.
- Handle employment litigation matters in state and federal court with partner oversight.
- Represent clients before state and federal agencies in employment-related proceedings.
- Conduct workplace investigations and assist with training initiatives.
- Draft, review, and advise on workplace policies, employee handbooks, and related documents.
- Support employment diligence and advise on employment issues tied to corporate transactions.
- Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and prepare motions and related filings.
- Provide practical, business-minded legal advice to clients across industries.
- Manage multiple matters, deadlines, and client priorities effectively.
- Supervise junior associates and staff as appropriate.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of employment and/or labor law experience
- Connecticut bar admission required
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and project management skills
- Knowledge of Connecticut state and federal court procedural and evidentiary rules
- Experience handling employment litigation and administrative proceedings
- Experience providing employment counseling and practical client advice
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
- Ability to work directly with clients and deliver strong service
- Experience supervising junior attorneys or staff is a plus
- Multi-state counseling, workplace investigations, employment diligence, and handbook/policy drafting experience are strongly preferred
- Admission in multiple jurisdictions is a plus
- Strong academics preferred
