Senior Account Executive – AI Solutions

About the Company

Our client is an early-stage technology company helping mid-sized businesses use artificial intelligence to improve operations, solve costly business problems, and produce measurable financial results.

The company’s platform is designed to make advanced AI practical and accessible for organizations that may not have the resources or technical teams of a large enterprise. Its solutions help customers identify operational inefficiencies, improve decision-making, automate processes, and generate measurable returns from their technology investments.

Backed by experienced leadership, the company is entering an important stage of growth and expanding its presence within industrial and operationally complex markets.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Account Executive who can lead complex, executive-level sales conversations and convert a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities into new business.

This is not a traditional transactional sales role. The successful candidate will be a highly consultative closer who can understand a prospect’s current operating environment, identify the financial impact of unresolved problems, and demonstrate how AI can improve the future state of the business.

You will work directly with business owners, senior executives, operational leaders, and technology stakeholders. The role is well suited for someone who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment, managing sophisticated sales cycles, and helping customers become comfortable making meaningful technology investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of an established pipeline of qualified mid-market opportunities.
  • Lead the full sales process from discovery and business-case development through negotiation and close.
  • Maintain consistent new-logo production and build predictable revenue momentum.
  • Conduct detailed discovery to uncover operational problems, inefficiencies, financial risks, and technology constraints.
  • Quantify the cost of inaction and develop a compelling financial case for change.
  • Translate complex AI capabilities into understandable business outcomes, including productivity gains, cost reductions, revenue improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Present effectively to owners, C-suite executives, operational leaders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple complex opportunities while maintaining disciplined follow-up and stakeholder alignment.
  • Anticipate objections, identify decision criteria, and create clear paths toward executive approval.
  • Work closely with company leadership and technical resources to refine positioning, improve the sales process, and accelerate growth.
  • Take full accountability for pipeline progression, forecasting accuracy, new revenue, and customer acquisition.

Desired Background

  • Proven success closing complex B2B technology, software, consulting, automation, data, or AI-related solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience selling solutions with contract values exceeding $100,000.
  • Strong consultative and diagnostic selling skills.
  • Ability to uncover business pain, challenge the status quo, and connect operational problems to measurable financial consequences.
  • Experience selling directly to company owners, C-level executives, and senior operational decision-makers.
  • Comfort working with customers in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, industrial services, or similarly complex operating environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both operational settings and executive boardrooms.
  • Strong opportunity-management, follow-up, negotiation, and forecasting skills.
  • Experience succeeding in an entrepreneurial, early-stage, or rapidly changing organization.
  • A background as an early sales hire, founding Account Executive, or contributor to building a new sales function would be highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%.

The original position places particular emphasis on $100,000-plus complex sales, early-stage experience, operational fluency, and the ability to sell business outcomes rather than product features.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a confident but highly analytical salesperson who combines executive presence with strong business curiosity.

This person does not depend solely on a recognized company name, product demonstrations, or feature presentations to win business. Instead, the candidate earns credibility by asking thoughtful questions, understanding how the customer operates, identifying financial and operational gaps, and building a compelling case for change.

They should be comfortable working without a rigid corporate playbook and should view the opportunity to help shape the sales process as an advantage rather than a limitation.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join a growing company at an important stage of commercial expansion.
  • Work directly with experienced executive leadership.
  • Sell a practical AI solution designed to solve meaningful business problems.
  • Inherit an active pipeline rather than building entirely from a cold start.
  • Have a visible and direct impact on company revenue and growth.
  • Help shape the organization’s sales strategy, messaging, and market approach.
  • Gain meaningful advancement opportunities as the company expands.
  • Work in a fast-moving environment that values initiative, accountability, adaptability, and results.
