Aerospace Design Engineering Specialist - Interconnect Products. This position can be located at either our Camarillo, CA or City of Industry, CA facilities. 

The Design Engineering Product Specialist serves as a technical expert within the company's Interconnect Technologies Division. This individual may focus on internal research and development (e.g. new technology), new product development, sustaining engineering, product manufacturing transitions (e.g. facility transfers), and new business proposals. In this role, you will serve in an advisory role to upper management at our company as well as to customers, industry groups, and suppliers. This specific design engineering specialist role will focus on military/commercial electrical wiring system components including connectors, backshells/connector accessories, conduit assemblies, and cable assemblies.

 

What you’ll do:
•    Provide technical oversight to teams in the design/analysis/test of electrical wiring interconnect system (EWIS) components used in aerospace, industrial, and military applications, including electrical connectors, backshells, conduits, and cable assemblies. 

Additional Information:
•    Strong knowledge of materials science for metals, polymers, ceramics, and glass and graphite composites used in interconnect products.

 

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or other related engineering field from an accredited institution.
•    Minimum of five (5) years of product engineering experience in interconnect product development, analysis, and test (electrical connectors and associate components, cable harnesses, and conduit assemblies).
