Machine Builder
Position Overview
The Machine Builder is responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, and preparing automated equipment for shipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and experience building production equipment using detailed engineering drawings and schematics.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble formers, closers, loaders, and custom automation equipment used in food and packaging production lines

Read and interpret SolidWorks drawings, mechanical schematics, and build documentation

Install mechanical components including drives, frames, guards, pneumatics, and motion assemblies

Troubleshoot mechanical issues during equipment builds and work with engineering to resolve them

Complete quality inspection checklists to ensure machines meet build specifications

Submit Production Concerns and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) when improvements are identified
-
Assist with machine crating and shipment preparation

Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S and safety standards
Qualifications

2-year Automated Packaging or Mechatronics degree OR equivalent hands-on experience assembling production or packaging equipment

Experience building machinery in food manufacturing, packaging equipment, automation, or processing environments

Comfortable using pneumatic tools, drills, saws, and precision hand tools

Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation

Basic understanding of electrical and pneumatic schematics

Strong teamwork and communication skills
