Compensation: $63,000 – $83,000 per year
Job Type: Monday–Friday (Full-Time). Flexible options available: 4-day workweek, Part-Time (e.g., 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.), Hybrid, or Remote arrangements considered to ensure coverage.
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Dietitian to lead clinical nutritional care at our client's facility in North Carolina. This role is ideal for a practitioner who enjoys a manageable caseload in a rural setting and wants to make a tangible impact on community health. We are highly flexible regarding scheduling and are open to creative arrangements—including part-time or hybrid work—to find the right fit for our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nutrition assessments and screenings for patients across ICU, OB, and Medical-Surgical units. Utilize the nutrition care process to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide medical nutrition therapy and offer nutritional counseling to patients and their families to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Attend patient care meetings and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure integrated treatment.
- Assist the Director in the management and operations of the Food and Nutrition Services department; lead clinical support efforts where gaps currently exist.
- Conduct meal rounds to enhance patient satisfaction, check the food service tray line for accuracy/quality, and collect data for Quality Improvement monitoring.
- Maintain RD licensure through continuing education and stay informed on the latest advancements in medical nutrition therapy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited institution.
- Active Registered Dietitian (RD) license required.
- 3+ years of healthcare experience as a Registered Dietitian, preferably in an acute care setting.
- CProficiency in EMR and knowledge of outpatient and pediatric nutrition (basic stabilization).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for patient advocacy.
- Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is a plus
