Job Summary
The Harvest Production Superintendent manages the daily efficiency of production lines, coordinates scheduling, and oversees floor supervisors to meet operational goals. This role bridges the gap between upper plant management and floor personnel, ensuring a safe, cost-effective, and compliant manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Production Oversight: Monitor daily production efficiency, review and track order/make sheets, and communicate clear daily targets to floor supervisors.

Supervisory Leadership: Direct, train, and develop floor supervisors to build management depth and foster a collaborative teamwork environment. Assign daily work schedules.

Operational Execution: Guide supervisory staff regarding production volume, cost control, quality standards, and adherence to strict delivery schedules.

Quality & Food Safety: Partner closely with the Quality Control department to maintain total compliance with product quality and food safety standards.

Facility Maintenance: Monitor and confirm that all machinery, equipment, and facility areas are properly maintained and regularly sanitized.

Employee Relations: Actively handle employee grievances, disputes, or interpersonal issues efficiently, collaborating with Human Resources to resolve escalation points. Ensure strict adherence to labor contract provisions.

Cross-Functional Communication: Actively participate in group, line, and management meetings to maintain strong communication channels across all plant levels.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Industry Knowledge: Proven understanding of beef cuts and heavy production/harvest processes.

Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with both line personnel and upper management.

People Management: Excellent interpersonal and team-oriented skills with a track record of dispute resolution.

Language Skills: Bilingual capabilities are highly valued, though not mandatory.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Environment: Regular exposure to cold temperatures, slick floors, sharp tools/knives, hot water, and heavy production machinery. Environment includes loud background noise.

Physical Demands: Requires high physical stamina, including extensive walking and climbing stairs throughout the shift.

Schedule: Typically requires 50–55 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work based on production needs.
