Location: Roseland, NJ. This is an in-office role with access to a strong team environment and hands-on mentorship.

Note: Must be admitted to the New Jersey Bar and have 3+ years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights, insolvency, or complex commercial litigation.

Job Description

  • Represent debtors, creditors, trustees, receivers, and assignees in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters
  • Support state court insolvency actions, assignments for the benefit of creditors, receiverships, and fiduciary matters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents
  • Assist with contested bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts
  • Participate in court hearings, mediations, negotiations, and case strategy discussions
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal team members
  • Manage deadlines, competing priorities, and multiple active matters in a sophisticated legal practice

Qualifications

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar
  • 2+ years of relevant bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights, insolvency, or complex commercial litigation experience
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and drafting skills
  • Experience with court appearances or contested matters
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently and collaboratively
  • New York Bar admission is a plus
