About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for complex general contracting projects. This is a fully onsite position for a seasoned professional who can both prepare accurate, competitive estimates and provide leadership to other estimators on the team.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in general contracting estimating, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines without letting anything fall through the cracks. This role is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to play a key role in project success from the earliest stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects

  • Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete project pricing

  • Lead and oversee estimating efforts for multiple projects at one time

  • Mentor, guide, and support junior estimators and other team members

  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids

  • Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs

  • Identify scope gaps, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies

  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and leadership teams during preconstruction

  • Participate in bid reviews, proposal development, and client presentations as needed

  • Ensure all estimates are completed on time and align with project requirements

  • Maintain strong knowledge of market pricing, construction methods, and industry trends

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of estimating experience within general contracting

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Senior Estimator or in a lead estimating role overseeing others

  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and project sequencing

  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents

  • Experience preparing conceptual, schematic, design development, and hard bid estimates

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop others

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to work effectively under deadlines

  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to work full-time onsite

  • No relocation assistance provided

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000

  • 3 weeks PTO

  • 8 paid holidays
