Quality Technicians - Great Pay + Two Shift Options

Our client, a North American leader in food and packaging manufacturing, is hiring Quality Technicians for their Markham, ON facility. These roles support high-volume production by ensuring products meet strict quality, regulatory, and customer standards.

Quality Technicians Details

• Permanent, full-time position located in Markham, ON
• Competitive hourly wage: *up to 26/hr
• Two openings available: Day Shift & Afternoon Shift (0.75 premium)
• 5% annual bonus
• Two weeks’ vacation
• Comprehensive benefits after probationary period

Quality Technicians Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks throughout production.
• Perform testing and verification for quality, food packaging safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Calibrate and verify QA testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Document, sample, and quarantine non-conforming materials as required.
• Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and sample retention processes.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure consistent product quality.
• Follow all safety policies, wear required PPE, and report hazards promptly.

Quality Technicians Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior quality assurance/quality control experience preferred.
• SQF certification is a MUST 
• Experience working in an ISO environment
• Day Shift Requirement: Experience in Printing environments.
• Afternoon Shift Requirement: Experience in Packaging environments.
• Ability to work with testing equipment and follow strict quality protocols.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Successful candidates may be required to complete a criminal background check.
