An established food processing and distribution operation is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to oversee both manufacturing and warehouse functions within a dry food environment in Mississauga, ON. This role is accountable for overall plant performance across production, packaging, inventory, and logistics.
This is a floor-driven leadership position suited for someone who leads from the front, drives accountability, and keeps operations running efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
Plant Manger Details
- Competitive salary: $90,000 - $110,000 annually
- Schedule: Full-time, permanent
- Location: Mississauga, ON

Plant Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across production, packaging, warehousing, and distribution
- Drive output, efficiency, and on-time fulfillment across multiple production lines
- Manage inventory control, storage systems, and material flow within the warehouse
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including scheduling and carrier management
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and reconciliation processes
- Maintain a strong floor presence to support teams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure daily targets are achieved
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety standards (GMP, HACCP)
- Track and improve KPIs related to productivity, quality, safety, and cost
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency-driven changes
- Work closely with maintenance to support equipment uptime and reliability
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and plant teams across departments
Plant Manager Qualifications
- 5–7 years of leadership experience within manufacturing, food processing, or distribution
- Proven ability to manage both production and warehouse operations
- Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics, and production planning
- Experience in a high-volume, process-driven food manufacturing or distribution environment
- Familiarity with food safety standards such as GMP and HACCP
- Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems is considered an asset
- Lean or Six Sigma exposure is preferred
