KIT Recruitment has partnered with a growing organization in the food ingredients and agricultural commodities sector to hire a Supply Chain Operations Manager for their Mississauga, Ontario team. 

 

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity responsible for overseeing the full operational lifecycle — from inbound raw materials and production coordination through inventory management and outbound export delivery. Acting as the operational control tower across procurement, plant planning, inventory, and logistics, this role plays a critical part in ensuring customer commitments and commercial objectives are executed efficiently, strategically, and on time. 

 

This position is ideal for an operations leader who thrives in fast-paced, execution-driven environments and has strong experience coordinating supply chain, production, and export logistics within food manufacturing or commodity-based industries. 

 

Supply Chain Operations Manager – Details: 

• Salary: $100,000–$140,000 annually (based on experience) 
• Location: Mississauga, ON 
• Schedule: Full-time, permanent 
• Travel: Approximately 15% travel across Western Canada 
• Benefits available following probationary period 
 

Supply Chain Operations Manager – Responsibilities: 

• Own end-to-end operational planning from inbound raw product through export delivery 
• Translate commercial contracts into executable operational plans 
• Coordinate procurement, production scheduling, inventory flow, and logistics capacity planning 
• Lead and manage the execution team across operations and logistics functions 
• Monitor operational execution against timelines, deliverables, and customer commitments 
• Identify operational bottlenecks and drive timely resolutions 
• Oversee production scheduling and operational flow across facilities 
• Maintain visibility and control of inventory across plants and warehouses 
• Support inventory optimization and working capital efficiency initiatives 
• Coordinate outbound shipment planning including container booking, freight scheduling, and export timelines 
• Ensure export documentation accuracy and shipment coordination 
• Monitor and mitigate operational and logistics risks 
• Collaborate closely with Procurement, Commercial, Finance, Quality, and Plant Operations teams 
• Ensure operational capabilities align with customer expectations and commercial objectives 
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations and supply chain functions 

 

Supply Chain Operations Manager – Qualifications: 

• 2+ years of experience in procurement and/or inbound logistics 
• 2+ years of experience within a food manufacturing environment 
• 2+ years of export logistics experience 
• Strong understanding of supply chain coordination, operational planning, and logistics execution 
• Experience within agriculture, food ingredients, or commodity industries considered a strong asset 
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment 
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
