KIT Recruitment has partnered with a leading Canadian poultry manufacturer in Milton, Ontario to hire a Cut-Up Supervisor for their chicken primary processing operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced food manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has a strong background in team supervision, food safety, and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will oversee daily cut-up operations while leading a team of approximately 37 employees and ensuring department targets for packaging, labelling, palletizing, safety, and quality are consistently achieved.
Cut-Up Supervisor - Details
• Pay: $30.00 – $33.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Typical work week: 50 hours
• Overtime paid after 44 hours at 1.5x regular rate
• Start time: 7:30 AM (finish time varies based on production demand)

Cut-Up Supervisor – Responsibilities
• Supervise and support approximately 37 production employees in the cut-up department
• Oversee daily operations including packaging, labelling, palletizing, and workflow coordination
• Ensure production targets are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards
• Lead staff in a fast-paced poultry processing environment
• Support and collaborate with the established Lead Hand within the department
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, SQF, GMP, and health & safety requirements
• Monitor housekeeping and sanitation standards within the department
• Utilize knives and industrial food production equipment when required
• Identify operational issues and implement practical solutions to improve department performance
• Support overtime requirements and production demands as needed

Cut-Up Supervisor - Qualifications
• Previous supervisory experience required, ideally within poultry or food processing
• Prior experience in a poultry processing facility strongly preferred
• Food safety experience required
• HACCP and SQF knowledge required
• Health & safety experience required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in wet floors, damp conditions, and refrigerated temperatures below 10°C
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation required
• Prior experience in a poultry processing facility strongly preferred
• Food safety experience required
• HACCP and SQF knowledge required
• Health & safety experience required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in wet floors, damp conditions, and refrigerated temperatures below 10°C
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
