Our client, a well-established global organization, is seeking a Senior Trader to join their Etobicoke-based team. This is a role for a commercially driven and relationship-focused professional who will play a key role in expanding business activities throughout India and the Indian Subcontinent.

 

This position offers the opportunity to manage international trading activities, develop strategic customer and supplier relationships, identify new market opportunities, and drive profitable growth across key global markets. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership while contributing to the organization’s continued international expansion.

• Develop and grow business opportunities throughout India and the Indian Subcontinent
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, brokers, and strategic business partners
• Identify and pursue new market opportunities and long-term growth strategies
• Manage international trade activities from contract negotiation through execution and payment collection
• Monitor pricing trends, market conditions, supply dynamics, and commercial risks
• Coordinate closely with logistics, supply chain, operations, finance, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution
• Manage purchase and sales contracts while ensuring compliance with company policies and international trade regulations
• Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to support business growth and executive decision-making
• Support process improvements and operational efficiencies across trading activities

 

• Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Experience trading within domestic and/or international markets
• Strong understanding of international trade operations, risk management, and market analysis
• Experience working with international customers, suppliers, and business partners
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with executive leadership
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required
• Hindi language skills are strongly preferred
• Experience conducting business within India and the Indian Subcontinent is considered a strong asset
