Layout Technician

Manassas, Virginia  |  On site  |  Contract  |  $45–$52 per hour

Set the layout that installation crews will build from on a Manassas data center project.

What you will do

·   Establish working control from benchmarks and gridlines; mark base plate and anchor locations ahead of crews.

·   Survey floor elevations and prepare row-by-row shim information.

·   Check layout against drawings, identify conflicts with existing work and document as-built conditions.

What we are looking for

·   3+ years in construction layout with robotic total stations, lasers and drawing interpretation.

·   Ability to work accurately around slab anchors, structural grids and changing field conditions.

·   OSHA 10 Construction; aerial work platform qualification before assignment.

Assignment details

Expected start: Mid-November 2026. Project installation is scheduled through May 2027; actual assignment length depends on the project schedule. Expected schedule: five 10-hour shifts per week (50 hours), with 40 regular hours and 10 overtime hours. Overtime beyond 40 hours in a workweek is paid at 1.5 times the base hourly rate.

Engagement: Staffing partner placement. Benefits and eligibility depend on the employing staffing partner and will be explained during the offer process. Site access is subject to applicable badging, background and drug-screening requirements. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
