Job Summary 

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and a safe, organized work environment. This role provides hands-on leadership to warehouse staff, supports logistics coordination, and ensures compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Duty Station:Hillsborough County, FL  

Travel: Up to 10% 

 

Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping 

  • Lead, train, and support warehouse staff to ensure productivity and accuracy 

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems 

  • Oversee the receiving and inspection of incoming shipments for accuracy and quality 

  • Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders 

  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards 

  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety regulations 

  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors 

  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to meet organizational needs 

  • Assist with scheduling, task assignments, and performance monitoring of warehouse personnel 

 

Required Skills/Abilities 

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes 

  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy 

  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment 

 

Education and Experience 

  • Required: High School Diploma/GED  

  • Required: Minimum 2 years of logistics warehouse experience 

  • Required: Current/valid Forklift certification  

  • Required: ICS and NIMS compliant training (e.g. ICS: 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800)
  • Preferred: Experience in emergency management, disaster response, or large-scale logistics operations 

  • Preferred: Familiarity with technical, legal, or medical terminology  

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs regularly 

  • Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and conditions 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching 

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc. 

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed
