Job Summary  

The Armed Security Guard is responsible for carrying out armed security duties, which may include the secure transfer of individuals between designated locations. The Officer ensures compliance with site-specific post orders, access control procedures, and all applicable laws and security regulations. This role requires maintaining constant situational awareness, safeguarding individuals and property, and responding promptly to security concerns, violations, or emergencies.  

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:No 

Job Classification: Permanent; Full Time   

Duty Station: Oklahoma City, OK  

Travel: Up to 25% travel. Contingent upon business needs 

 

Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Supervise and oversee the secure movement of assigned individuals between approved locations. 

  • Always maintain a safe and controlled environment while individuals are under supervision. 

  • Ensure all activities follow established security procedures and professional standards. 

  • Stay alert to changes in behavior or environment that may present safety or security concerns. 

  • Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate movements and maintain accountability. 

  • Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or potential threats. 

  • Complete required reports and documentation promptly and accurately. 

  • Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and ensure proper professional appearance while on duty. 

  • Support training and guidance for team members as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities 

  • Make timely, independent decisions in high-pressure situations 

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and subordinates 

  • Conduct inspections, enforce standards, and issue corrective instructions 

  • Accurately report incidents and complete required documentation in accordance with federal security guidelines 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.  

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

 

  Education and Experience 

  • Required: High school diploma or GED 

  • Required: Minimum of 1-2 years of security officer experience in the security field 

  • Required: Active and valid driver’s license  

  • Preferred: Active Armed Guard CLEET certification 

  • Preferred: Five (5) or more years of experience in armed security, preferably in federal, military, or high-security environments. 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods while conducting post inspections and supervising shift operations. 

  • Must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations, which may require physical exertion such as running, crouching, or lifting. 

  • Must be able to wear and operate required duty gear, including firearm, duty belt, and radio communications equipment. 

  • Must be able to operate standard security tools and devices including CCTV monitors, badge readers, access control systems, and communication terminals.

Pre-employment Requirements 

Due to the nature of Chloeta’s services, this position is contingent upon completing with a satisfactory outcome some or all the following pre-employment background screenings: government security clearance, federal and state criminal background checks, drug test (urinalysis), Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, educational history, employment history, and/or credit check. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), pre-employment background screenings will require the employees written authorization and will occur after acceptance of an offer of employment and prior to commencing work.
