Infrastructure Branch Director
Job Summary
The Infrastructure Branch Director coordinates with Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) and partner organizations to restore and maintain critical infrastructure and utility services during an incident. The Infrastructure Branch Director provides situational awareness, prioritizes restoration of lifelines (utilities, power, communications, water, transportation), and supports the agency in achieving incident objectives

Travel: Up to 10%
Duties/Responsibilities

Facilitates collaboration with infrastructure owners/operators (power companies, water utilities, transportation agencies, telecom providers)

Establishes restoration priorities based on life safety, incident stabilization, and community needs

Ensures efficient allocation of resources to support infrastructure recovery

Collects, analyzes, and disseminates real-time information on infrastructure conditions

Contributes to Incident Action Plans (IAPs) with infrastructure-related objectives and tactics

Identifies resource needs (personnel, equipment, materials) for infrastructure operations

Aligns infrastructure efforts with broader emergency management and recovery operations.
Required Skills/Abilities

Familiarity with federal/state recovery and reimbursement programs

Familiarity with public alert/warning systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience

Required: High School Diploma or GED
-
Required: Minimum 3 years of managing restoration projects or utility outage response experience
- Required: ICS and NIMS compliant training (e.g. ICS: 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800)
Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
