Business Development Analyst
Job Summary:
The Business Development (BD) Analyst supports the Capture and Bids and Proposals (B&P) Teams within the Business Development Group. This position supports the company’s growth objectives by identifying, researching, and qualifying federal, state, local, tribal government, and commercial contracting opportunities. This role plays a critical part in pipeline development, market intelligence, and capture support to position the company for successful contract awards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Thoroughly reviews solicitation documents and accurately enters opportunity information into Chloeta’s opportunity database.

Monitors government procurement portals (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, state/local portals) for relevant opportunities.

Identifies and tracks Sources Sought, RFIs, RFPs, and recompete opportunities.

May conduct agency research including budget analysis, procurement forecasts, and strategic priorities.

Performs competitor research and maintains competitive intelligence reports.

Responsible for maintaining company certifications with clients.

Identifies and researches new relevant socioeconomic opportunities.

Participates in daily and weekly collaborative meetings within the BD Group.

Assists with creating and regularly updating staff resumes for B&P efforts.

Organizes and updates department documents to implement and maintain group processes.

Assists with Business Intelligence support as needed and edits proposals as requested.

May assist with coordinating department conference registration and related travel.

May contact clients regarding submitted proposals and update Company databases accordingly.

Assists Capture Team to track relevant business opportunities.

Assists with completing forms and supplementary B&P documents as requested.

Assists with maintaining past performance write-up database for completed projects.

Completes supplier registrations.

Assists with conference and trade show planning, registration, and budgeting as requested.

Supports Capture or B&P Teams in preparing client presentations as requested.

May coordinate internal transition process upon contract award from BD Group to Contracts Group.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

Experience with GovWin, SAM.gov, FPDS, USAspending, or similar tools.

Knowledge of specific target agencies (e.g., DHS, FEMA, DoD, HHS).

Experience supporting capture or proposal development efforts.

Understanding of the federal procurement lifecycle and FAR basics.
Education and Experience:
-
Required: Bachelor's degree in relevant field Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field

Required: Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in business development, capture, proposal support, or government contracting

Preferred: Experience supporting proposal development, capture efforts, or opportunity tracking preferred

Preferred: Experience using government procurement platforms (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin)
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
