This position is responsible for leading and executing regional sales strategies while coaching and developing a team of field sales representatives. The role focuses on driving business growth through data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and exceptional customer service, while supporting new product launches and maintaining strong regional partnerships.
 
Duties:
Including but not limited to:
  • Effectively represent the organization with a comprehensive understanding of products and services.
  • Research individual markets within the assigned region and develop strategies to build, sustain, and grow business.
  • Participate in hiring, training, motivating, and advising a team of field sales representatives.
  • Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing sales performance data, and projecting future performance.
  • Monitor sales plans and defined metrics to hold sales representatives accountable.
  • Strategically create and execute regional sales plans.
  • Work in a team environment to analyze projects from sales, business, and engineering perspectives.
  • Manage and support new product releases into the marketplace.
  • Oversee negotiations related to sales pricing, agreements, credit terms, and collections.
  • Conduct field rides throughout the year with each sales representative and complete annual scorecard reviews.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
  • Ensure regional project information and documentation within the sales database is accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate regularly with the Regional Sales Manager to monitor territory needs, concerns, and resource allocation.
  • Participate in corporate meetings and conference calls as required.
  • Seek out, review, and analyze regional sponsorships and partnerships with key associations.
 
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 to 10 years of field sales experience, with prior management and/or leadership experience preferred.
  • Passion for coaching and mentoring others to achieve success.
  • Strong ability to analyze sales data and apply insights to business decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead change with a strategic mindset, particularly as new products and services are introduced.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Dedication to delivering top-tier customer service.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with industry-related solutions is a plus.
