This position is responsible for managing aerospace and defense programs for both government and commercial customers from contract award through final delivery. The role ensures programs are executed within scope, schedule, and budget requirements while serving as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating cross-functional efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties:
Including but not limited to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned programs.
- Manage and monitor program execution from contract award through delivery.
- Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, operations, and quality teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Participate in proposal development activities, including scope definition, cost estimates, and schedule planning for new business opportunities.
- Monitor contract requirements and ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory obligations.
Identify program risks and issues early and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. - Provide regular status updates to leadership teams and customers regarding program progress, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain program documentation, meeting notes, and communication records.
- Support additional program management activities as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 3 - 5 years of program or project management experience within aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience working with government contracting processes, including FAR/DFARS requirements, is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems such as JobBOSS or equivalent preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external customers.
