Now seeking a Controller! This role will drive operational KPIs and oversee corporate performance and profitability within a manufacturing environment and assess and communicate the impact of accounting standards to senior management.
Duties: Including but not limited to:
Oversee the accounting department’s activities, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of financial reports, including monthly financial statements, annual audits, and budgets.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare operating and financial reports for management, including analysis of results compared to plans, budgets, and historical trends.
Provide management with timely updates on the organization’s financial status and progress in various programs.
Lead the annual audit process and ensure regulatory compliance in financial reporting.
Build and implement an internal control framework, maintaining effective systems and processes that verify data integrity and enhance company value.
Document and maintain adequate internal controls, ensuring compliance with evolving accounting standards.
Play a key role in the physical inventory process.
Oversee accurate, timely processing of accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, cash control, payroll, and tax compliance.
Lead a team of accounting professionals, promoting staff development through continuing education, job rotation, and mentorship.
Assist with annual budgeting, cash forecasting, and actively participate in monthly business reviews with the Director of Finance and team.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably within multi-site manufacturing.
In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, financial analysis, evolving technologies, and best practices.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
Advanced critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, conditional formulas).
Demonstrated ability in independent decision-making.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Team-building and facilitation skills with a continuous improvement mindset and a drive to make a meaningful impact.
Ability to learn new graphic software to complement the presentation of new designs.
