Wastewater Operator
Wastewater/Chemical Operator (Virginia, North Carolina, and Sout Carolina)
We are inviting applications for a dedicated and skilled Physical Chemical (P/C) Wastewater Operator to become an integral part of our Operations & Maintenance Services Division. This role is vital for the treatment of contaminated water, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and contributing to environmental safety. Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a clean work environment. Conduct daily job hazard assessments and ensure compliance with all regulatory discharge limits.
- System Operation: Efficiently operate, inspect, and monitor treatment systems, including process equipment, meters, and gauges. Record operational data accurately.
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, diagnose issues swiftly, and execute necessary repairs.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive logbooks and prepare reports using computer-based programs, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Chemical Management: Manage chemical inventories, oversee off-loading, and optimize chemical dosing. Ensure proper waste disposal labeling and handling.
- Sampling: Collect and label water samples for laboratory analysis, completing appropriate documentation and arranging sample transport.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of related work experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Capability to obtain an Industrial (Phys/Chem) Wastewater License within 12 months. Licensure in VA, NC, or SC is preferred.
Travel Requirements & Work Schedule
This role involves extensive travel, approximately 50% to 75% of the time, mainly in the Southeast U.S. (VA, NC, SC). Travel expenses are reimbursed. Flexibility is essential, with the possibility of overtime and weekend shifts.
