Project Accounting Supervisor

Full-service construction firm seeking a Project Accounting Supervisor to support project managers, oversee project accounting operations, mentor junior staff, and ensure accurate billing and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain projects in accounting systems
• Support project managers with financial reports and project questions
• Review and manage WIP (work-in-progress) reporting, including over/under billings
• Review billing, contracts, subcontracts, and pay applications
• Process invoices and manage vendor/subcontractor payment inquiries
• Prepare owner invoices and ensure contract billing compliance
• Assist with audits, tax reviews, and special projects
• Mentor and train project accounting staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 4+ years of construction accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, cost, and management accounting
• Advanced computer skills
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
