Job Title: Sr. Payroll Specialist

Summary:Handles end-to-end payroll processing, benefits administration, and related accounting tasks. Ensures accurate wage calculations, tax compliance, and benefit reconciliations. Collaborates with HR, supports audits, maintains confidential records, and manages payroll system issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and audit payroll accurately and on time
  • Administer employee benefits and maintain records
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll laws
  • Coordinate payroll changes (hires, terminations, salary adjustments)
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll-related journal entries and reports
  • Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries
  • Manage year-end reporting (W-2s) and tax filings
  • Support payroll audits and resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborate with HR and external vendors
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee data

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years payroll experience preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll laws & system conversions
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
