We are seeking a Senior HR Manager to join our team in Pryor, Oklahoma, where you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic human resources initiatives. This position offers the chance to lead efforts in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between management and union representatives, managing grievance investigations, disciplinary actions, and arbitration processes.
  • Support contract negotiations and labor strategy development, leveraging extensive employee relations experience.
  • Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture through coaching and support for supervisors and employees.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for both hourly and salaried positions to meet 24/7 production demands.
  • Lead a team of HR professionals to support HR initiatives and attract-and-retain objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and OSHA.
  • Collaborate on safety and wellness initiatives with EHS teams.
  • Monitor and analyze key HR metrics, such as turnover and absenteeism, to recommend improvements.
  • Facilitate HR analytics reporting, monthly HR initiatives, and company announcements.
  • Promote change initiatives through proactive communication and relationship building.
  • Introduce and support continuous improvement concepts, providing guidance and oversight to achieve objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting in roles such as HR Generalist, HRBP, or HR Manager.
  • Strong experience in union labor relations, including contract interpretation and grievance administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR disciplines such as compensation, benefits, health management, and talent development.
  • Experience in paper, pulp, or similar heavy manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to build trust and credibility with both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Hands-on, approachable leadership style with a strong sense of urgency.
