Top Client in need of a Staff Pharmacist. Job Summary:

• Pharmacists have functional supervision of pharmacy technicians
• Communication commonly occurs with internal and external customers
• Must maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with the Healthcare Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
• Supports financial goals of the department by utilizing good inventory control methods
• Sound clinical judgment utilizing evidence based medicine is expected
• Work is performed within the pharmacy and in patient care areas and will work in close proximity with others
• Job is fast paced and employee may be subject to long hours of physically and mentally stressful activity, performing activities in a limited time period; especially on weekends, nights, and holidays
• Potential for exposure to harmful biological agents, chemical agents and cytotoxic substances exists

Qualifications: Education: Must be a graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).Experience: Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent Hospital experience is preferredLicensure, certification, and/or registration: License to practice Pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Virginia required within 90 days of hire.
