Location

Tampa, FL – on-site in South Tampa for the first 90 days during training. After that, the role remains in-person with flexible start and finish times, and hybrid flexibility can be earned on a case-by-case basis once you can work independently and consistently add value for clients. Candidates must already live in the Tampa Bay area within a reasonable commute; relocation is not provided.

Note

To be considered, you must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, strong experience with the full accounting cycle, and recent hands-on work in QuickBooks Online. A minimum of 1+ year of accounting experience in public or private accounting is required, with experience in a small, high-growth environment preferred. You must already live in the Tampa Bay area and be able to work on-site full time during the initial training period.

Job Description

  • Provide high quality accounting services to small business clients that primarily use QuickBooks Online.
  • Manage monthly close processes, including reconciliations and preparation of key financial reports.
  • Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Prepare and file payroll tax and sales tax for assigned clients.
  • Prepare year-end financial statements for business tax purposes and coordinate with the tax team as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members across multiple accounting functions and departments in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Communicate with clients and expand client-facing responsibilities as training is completed and trust is built.
  • Help improve procedures, processes, and documentation to support efficient, accurate client service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 1+ year of accounting experience in public or private accounting; experience in a small, high-growth environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of full accounting cycle and financial analysis.
  • Strong, recent experience working in QuickBooks Online; this must be part of your most recent role.
  • CPA certification preferred, or strong desire and plan to pursue CPA certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong prioritization skills, and deadline-driven mindset.
