Job Description
- Serve as the operational leader and second-in-command to the CEO.
- Translate firm vision into actionable plans, measurable goals, and day-to-day execution.
- Oversee and optimize operations across administration, operations, marketing, and other core business functions.
- Develop, implement, and refine operational policies, workflows, and procedures.
- Build accountability across departments through strong leadership, communication, and performance management.
- Create, monitor, and improve KPIs tied to operational efficiency, financial performance, client satisfaction, and firm growth.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and core financial operations in partnership with leadership.
- Oversee bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and related operational finance processes.
- Evaluate systems, software, and tools to improve efficiency, reporting, and client experience.
- Identify future operational needs and proactively build scalable infrastructure to support growth.
- Supervise internal team members and outside vendors to ensure performance and alignment with firm standards.
- Partner closely with HR and leadership on hiring strategy, team structure, and retention.
- Lead and develop managers and team members across multiple departments in a high-performance environment.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a senior or executive operations role within the legal industry.
- Strong experience within a personal injury law firm; plaintiff-side experience strongly preferred.
- Proven success leading operations in a high-volume law firm environment.
- Experience managing teams of 25+ employees across multiple departments.
- Strong knowledge of legal operations, financial workflows, staffing, and process improvement.
- Strong technical familiarity with Filevine, Lead Docket, RingCentral, and CallRail.
- Demonstrated success implementing systems that improve efficiency, accountability, and scalable growth.
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in business, finance, or a related field.
- MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
