Ascension Search Partners has been exclusively engaged by a private equity backed organization operating within the industrials infrastructure space. The business supports a large, geographically distributed platform delivering mission-critical services to enterprise customers. Headquartered in the U.S., the organization has demonstrated strong, sustained growth driven by disciplined execution and scalable operations.

We are seeking a Director of Finance with deep, hands-on experience building and owning complex, fully integrated three-statement financial models to support strategic planning, capital allocation, and investment decision-making.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, own, and maintain fully integrated three-statement financial models (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow) including detailed operating drivers, working capital, capex, debt schedules, and equity activity
  • Perform scenario, sensitivity, and downside analyses to evaluate performance, liquidity, and capital needs
  • Develop valuation outputs, including DCF and return analyses, to support capital investments and acquisitions
  • Partner with leadership on long-term planning, growth initiatives, and capital deployment decisions
  • Evaluate ROI, IRR, and payback on expansion projects, strategic transactions, and other investments
  • Support debt and equity financing processes, including lender and investor materials and covenant modeling
  • Translate operational and commercial assumptions into financial forecasts and provide clear, model-driven insights to executive leadership
  • Prepare board and investor-ready materials communicating financial performance, strategic priorities, and outlook
  • Mentor team members and improve processes, tools, and modeling standards to enhance accuracy, scalability, and efficiency

What Will Set You Up for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, or private equity
  • Demonstrated expert-level experience building and owning complex three-statement financial models
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong understanding of balance sheet mechanics and capital structure
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex financial analysis to senior stakeholders
