VP of Global Financial Planning & Analysis
Ascension Search Partners has been engaged to identify a strategic Vice President of FP&A to lead financial planning, forecasting, and business partnership across very stable but growth oriented manufacturing company. This role will serve as a key finance leader driving operational insights, commercial visibility, and public-company-level reporting standards as the company continues to expand.
The VP will oversee a high-performing FP&A team supporting both corporate and field operations, ensuring financial rigor and strategic alignment across the organization. This is a highly visible role with regular interaction with the CEO and CFO offering equity upside and long-term career trajectory toward CFO.

Role Summary
The Vice President of FP&A will lead all aspects of financial planning and analysis, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The role combines traditional FP&A leadership with strong field finance partnership—providing decision support to sales and operations leaders while maintaining credibility with executive leadership.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this leader will influence a team, including regional business partners and corporate FP&A specialists, while collaborating cross-functionally with operations, legal, HR, sales, procurement, and pricing.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead a high-performing FP&A function, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, accountability, and professional growth.
• Drive monthly financial reviews and consolidated reporting across business units
• Partner with field finance leaders to enhance branch-level performance
• Refine public-company-level reporting packages, ensuring data integrity, timeliness, and transparency.
• Collaborate with accounting and IT teams to effectively deliver and drive accurate financial results.
• Lead FP&A participation in annual strategic planning sessions.
Key Qualifications
• 12–15+ years of progressive FP&A and operational finance experience, ideally from a high-growth public company.
• Proven success leading FP&A in a multi-entity or field-intensive business.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to build and interpret financial statements, manage cash flows.
• Advanced analytical and systems skills; proficiency with Excel and Power BI.
• Excellent communication skills with executive presence.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams; strong emotional intelligence and organizational awareness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
