Ascension Search Partners has been retained to hire an operationally and customer focused Chief People and Customer Officer to serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Leadership Team. This Executive will lead the organization's people strategy while helping shape the employee and resident experience across a complex, hospitality-inspired organization. The CHRO will build leadership capability, strengthen succession planning, elevate talent acquisition, drive organizational effectiveness, support acquisitions, leverage AI and workforce analytics, and ensure the company's culture remains a competitive advantage as the company continues to grow.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CPCO is responsible for entire human resource function and team inclusive of enterprise people strategy, organizational capability, leadership development, succession planning, talent acquisition, employee experience, customer experience philosophy, HR operations, organizational design, change leadership, culture, total rewards, internal and external communication, workforce analytics, and AI-enabled workforce transformation. This executive will serve as one of the CEO's closest advisors and help align people strategy with enterprise growth.

Primary Duties:  

·        Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to align people strategy with business strategy.

·        Design and execute enterprise leadership development and succession planning.

·        Build a scalable internal leadership succession plan

·        Lead talent acquisition strategy and executive recruiting for a growing multi-site organization.

·        Oversee HR Business Partners, Talent Management, Learning & Development, and core HR functions.

·        Champion employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.

·        Integrate employee experience with resident experience through a hospitality-inspired service culture.

·        Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and change management associated with growth and acquisitions.

·        Develop people analytics and AI-enabled solutions that reduce administrative work and improve decision making.

·        Provide executive oversight of total rewards strategy, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.

·        Ensure compliance with employment laws while maintaining a pragmatic business-first approach.

·        Serve as executive sponsor for culture initiatives and enterprise leadership capability.

 

Educational/Experience Level:    

·        15+ years of progressive HR or People leadership experience.

·        Executive leadership experience supporting a complex multi-site organization.

·        Experience in hospitality, luxury services, consumer services, healthcare services, senior living, retail, restaurants, country clubs, or similarly service-intensive industries preferred.

·        Demonstrated success building leadership development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness programs.

·     Experience leading internal and external communications.

·        Strong business acumen with experience partnering directly with CEOs and executive teams.

·        Experience supporting acquisitions, organizational growth, and change management.

·        Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred.
