We have partnered with a well‑established, privately held manufacturing company in the Dallas–Fort Worth area in the confidential search for a Chief Financial Officer to lead the full accounting and finance function and partner closely with executive leadership. This is a high‑impact role for a hands‑on accounting and finance leader who brings deep manufacturing expertise and enjoys blending operational finance, FP&A, and strategic decision support in a growing, financially strong organization.

 

The CFO will have full ownership of accounting and finance, including FP&A, cost accounting, inventory, treasury, tax oversight, and systems. This individual will play a critical role in improving the reporting, strengthening forecasting, analytics, and financial discipline while supporting continued growth and operational scalability. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire accounting and finance organization, including AP, AR, collections, cost accounting, and financial reporting
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A, with a strong weekly and monthly cadence tied to operational performance
  • Oversee standard costing, inventory accounting, COGS, labor, and variance analysis in a manufacturing environment
  • Provide actionable financial insights to support business decisions, margin improvement, and cost optimization
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and insurance programs
  • Oversee tax compliance and partner with external CPA firms; contribute to tax planning and strategy initiatives
  • Lead finance involvement in multi‑state sales and use tax compliance and audit support
  • Drive process improvement, system optimization, and scalable policies and procedures
  • Partner cross‑functionally with operations, sales, and leadership to support growth initiatives
 
Ideal Background
  • Manufacturing industry experience is required
  • Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and operational finance
  • Comfort partnering with banks and external advisors
  • Experience with multi‑state sales tax exposure strongly preferred
  • ERP and systems‑savvy; experience with system upgrades or implementations a plus
  • CPA a plus
