Ascension Search Partners has been engaged by a PE backed healthcare company to hire a Director within their FP&A function. The Director will report to senior leadership and will play a critical role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making. This individual will function as a hands-on, high-impact finance business partner, delivering actionable insights across the organization. The role requires a strong analytical foundation, operational mindset, and the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations that influence outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership across the organization to drive financial performance, with a focus on revenue optimization, cost control, and operational efficiency
- Lead and support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Deliver timely, actionable insights through detailed financial and operational analysis
- Develop and maintain integrated financial models, including scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling
- Provide analytical support across key functional areas such as operations, commercial teams, and support functions to evaluate unit economics, productivity, and profitability
- Support preparation of board-level materials, investor reporting, and executive presentations
- Assist in cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning, partnering closely with finance leadership
- Evaluate and enhance reporting, forecasting, and business intelligence tools to improve decision-making capabilities
- Review financial results and reporting packages, providing clear and concise variance analysis and commentary
- Support strategic initiatives, including M&A evaluation, diligence, and integration efforts
- Operate within a high-accountability environment, contributing across multiple priorities as the business scales
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance
- Background in healthcare services in a multi-site operating environments preferred
- Prior experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment strongly preferred
- Strong modeling skills financial models and perform advanced scenario analysis
- Strong understanding of operational drivers and financial levers within a services-based business
- Experience supporting executive leadership, investors, and board-level reporting
- Advanced analytical skills with experience working with large datasets and business intelligence tools
