In this role, you will be the central link between engineering, procurement, assembly, and quality assurance. You will oversee the end-to-end planning, scheduling, and movement of materials to ensure our aerospace components are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest regulatory standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced CNC machining and assembly environment, understands the complexities of aerospace supply chains, and possesses strong ERP/MRP system expertise.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize master production schedules (MPS) based on customer demand, material availability, and machine capacity.
  • Analyze Material Requirements Planner (MRP) reports to release work orders, purchase requisitions, and inventory transfers to support seamless production flow.
  • Monitor daily shop floor manufacturing progress, identify bottlenecks or material shortages, and implement immediate recovery plans to keep deliveries on track.
  • Manage and Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories. Reconcile variances and maintain high inventory accuracy within the ERP system.
  • Partner closely with Engineering to manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and integrate new product introductions (NPI) into production.
  • Work alongside procurement to track critical sub-tier processing (e.g., heat treating, plating, anodizing) and ensure vendor commitments align with shop floor schedules.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including On-Time Delivery (OTD), schedule adherence, and work-in-progress (WIP) aging. Present regular status updates to management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred). Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of production control, planning, or scheduling experience within an AS9100-certified aerospace manufacturing environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems. Understanding of ITAR/EAR compliance regulations is highly desirable.
  • APICS CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) designation is a major plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and the capacity to communicate technical bottlenecks clearly to both floor operators and executive management.
  • ITAR Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) to comply with ITAR and defense manufacturing data regulations.
