Pump Technician
Direct hire opportunity for a Pump Technician/Mechanic at an industry leading industrial pump manufacturer's service center. This position is located in Shreveport, LA and is only open to local candidates at this time - no relocation is available. Position is a first shift position working in a climate controlled shop environment. Technician will be tearing down, troubleshooting, repairing, and reassembling a variety or centrifugal pumps.
Technician:
- 5+ years overall pump repair experience (not installation)
- Experience at an OEM or significant pump repair shop
- Repair experience on API type pumps
- Familiar with pump metallurgy fundamentals and rotating equipment operation and clearances
- Extensive experience performing repair and rebuild on various style pumps such as, horizontal multistage, vertical, overhung, split case, etc.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments (analog mics, dial calipers, depth gauges, etc.)
- Must have a good set of hand tools with sockets & wrenches up to 1"
