Foreman, Site Development & Excavation
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Pay: $70K to $85K + Annual Bonus

The Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role leads a crew to perform site preparation work and maintains high standards for quality, safety and teamwork.
Foreman Responsibilities:
Crew Leadership & Scheduling
- Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate field crews
- Create daily and weekly work plans; conduct end-of-day planning for upcoming tasks
- Assign work based on crew skills, equipment availability, and project priorities
Site & Project Execution
- Interpret and apply project plans, specifications, and blueprints
- Oversee excavation, grading, underground utilities (storm, water, sanitary), and foundation work
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA regulations
- Ensure compliance with local codes, permits, and testing requirements
Equipment, Tools & Materials
- Oversee proper operation and care of heavy equipment
- Plan and coordinate material orders and trucking to minimize downtime
- Verify locates and schedule required inspections and testing
Foreman Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of site work experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, utilities, and construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and trench safety requirements
- Experience coordinating crews, equipment, materials, and schedules
