An Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Attorney with 3+ years' applicable professional experience is needed in Kansas City for a full-time position with an AmLaw 100 law firm. Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Attorney Responsibilities

  • Draft, design, and implement tax-qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefit plans, and executive compensation arrangements.
  • Address executive compensation and benefits issues related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Provide guidance on taxation issues, including Sections 409A and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Collaborate with a team to expand and support a national Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice.

 

Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Attorney Qualifications

  • JD from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Bar admission in Missouri. Additional Bar admissions in Illinois, Colorado, or Texas are a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation.
  • Expertise in retirement and benefit plan administration, executive compensation, and related taxation issues.
  • Excellent writing, drafting, and communication skills, along with a high level of ambition and team orientation.
