Our client, a growing Texas based law firm, with offices in Houston, Texas, is currently seeking an experienced litigation legal assistant/paralegal to support multiple attorneys in an intellectual property litigation practice. This position is open due to growth.
- The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of litigation experience in a large or mid-sized law firm with at least 1 year of intellectual property litigation experience
- Proficiency in MS Word, included Styles, Table of Contents and Authorities, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- State and Federal e-filing, and trial preparation is required
- Excellent written and oral communication, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Ideal candidate must have extensive experience working with federal court matters and should be detail-oriented, be able to multitask and prioritize the workload independently, and be comfortable working in a high-volume, high-energy environment
- In addition to the legal assistant responsibilities, the ideal candidate will be expected to assist with paralegal billable tasks as needed to support the litigation team
- This position is on-site and requires attendance in the Houston office five days per week
