Position Overview
Premier innovator in high-technology defense and mission solutions, is seeking a Director of Programs, Secure Space Communications. Based in the Phoenix metropolitan area, this executive leadership role is responsible for a sophisticated portfolio of space programs centered on mission-critical data-networking, transport, cybersecurity, and high-assurance cryptography.
The Director will lead a highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering secure capabilities to national systems. This role demands a blend of high-level program execution, strategic business growth, and deep technical familiarity with the certifications required for national space assets.
Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Program Execution: Lead the development and production of high-value mission solution programs. Ensure all technical milestones, financial targets, and delivery schedules are met with excellence.

Strategic Growth: Identify, pursue, and capture new and adjacent opportunities. Develop long-term strategic plans to expand the business area’s footprint within the national security sector.

Customer & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison for esteemed national security customers and certification authorities. Build trusted, long-term relationships based on program performance.

Operational Excellence: Utilize financial reports, business measurements, and operational metrics to drive data-driven decision-making and ensure maximum business impact.

Leadership & Team Building: Engage, motivate, and develop a team of technical and program professionals. Navigate a complex matrix organization to ensure alignment and focus on mission goals.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 15+ years of demonstrated leadership, with significant experience in defense contracting and high-value program management.

Technical Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of Satellites, Space Systems, Data-transport, and Cryptographic solutions (including high-assurance certifications).

Security Clearance: An active Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph is required at the time of hire.

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Leadership: Proven ability to manage complex development programs and lead organizations through change with a clear, shared vision.
