Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney
Pay: $130,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year

Location: This role is being marketed as fully remote for attorneys based in California, with travel required for appearances and proceedings as needed across Southern California and occasionally beyond.Note: Must be licensed in California and have at least 1 year of workers’ compensation experience on either the defense or applicant side.

Job Description
- Handle workers’ compensation matters from initial review through resolution
- Review records and analyze claims, medical evidence, and litigation strategy
- Prepare cases for trial, hearings, depositions, and other proceedings
- Draft motions, briefs, correspondence, reports, and other legal documents
- Conduct discovery and develop case strategy in partnership with the broader legal team
- Manage court appearances and travel as needed for hearings and related proceedings
- Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, witnesses, and other involved parties
- Maintain strong case management habits and move files forward in a timely, professional manner
- Support cost-effective, high-quality defense strategies for California employers and insurers
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- 1+ year of workers’ compensation experience
- Ability to work independently and manage files with professionalism and discipline
- Strong writing, communication, and client-facing skills
- Defense-side experience is helpful but not required
- Comfortable with travel for hearings, appearances, and case needs
