The successful candidate's duties and responsibilities will encompass:

  • Provide expert troubleshooting and technical support for complex electronic control systems, high-speed drive systems, and production hardware to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability
  • Execute PLC programming modifications and upgrades (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) and implement SCADA solutions to enhance machine performance and data acquisition
  • Lead continuous improvement and design projects, utilizing root cause analysis to engineer and implement control systems for upgraded or internally fabricated machinery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment installs and repairs, including the safe use of hand/power tools and rigging/forklift equipment to manage heavy industrial loads
  • Champion a safe, 5S-compliant work environment while participating in a shared on-call rotation to ensure consistent technical coverage for the facility

 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in automation controls or a high-level industrial maintenance role
  • 3+ years of strong proficiency with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC/HMI software suites
  • 3+ years of proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering documents, including machine schematics and electrical diagrams
  • 3+ years of comprehensive understanding of AC/DC drives, single/three-phase wiring, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with a variety of power tools and forklift operation/rigging for heavy machinery
  • Experience in high-speed processing environments (such as paper converting, printing, or continuous web manufacturing) is a major plus
  • A solid work history free of frequent "job-hopping"
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
