Core Responsibilities (Daily Execution)
- Perform Independent Setups: Execute complete, independent machine setups and operations on multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers.
- Tooling & Offsets Management: Adjust tool page offsets, establish work holding fixtures, and replace cutting tooling to maintain tight production tolerances.
- Precision Part Inspection: Inspect close-tolerance components using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, height gauges, and custom precision tooling.
- Blueprint & Code Execution: Interpret complex engineering blueprints, apply G&M code adjustments, and utilize GD&T principles to ensure full part integrity.
- Troubleshoot & Optimize Cell: Investigate and resolve mechanical or program-related deviations on 2nd shift to optimize cycle times and maintain smooth production flow.
- Maintain Cell Standards: Keep a clean, meticulously organized, safe, and 5S-compliant machining station.
Key Qualifications (Requirements)
- Machining & Setup Depth: 2+ years of professional CNC machining experience with at least 1 year of independent setups on CNC mills or lathes.
- Technical Literacy: Demonstrated fluency reading blueprints, interpreting G&M codes, and applying GD&T fundamentals.
- Quality Precision: Proficient with precision hand measurement tools, custom gauges, and inspection equipment to verify close-tolerance part features.
- 2nd Shift Commitment: Lifestyle alignment and absolute readiness for a permanent 2nd shift schedule (Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM).
- Location & Authorization: U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder residing within daily driving distance of the Big Bend, WI area.
